VORTRAG: Culture and Health: A European Perspective

The address concludes by showcasing European initiatives and partnerships that demonstrate how creativity can promote well-being, inclusion, and systemic change across societies.

Die Keynote „Kultur und Gesundheit: Eine europäische Perspektive“ betont, dass kulturelle Teilhabe ein wesentliches Gesundheitsverhalten ist, und beleuchtet die wachsende europäische Bewegung zur Integration von Kunst und Gesundheitspolitik. Sie zeichnet eine kreative Entwicklung von Community Arts und Kunsttherapien bis hin zur heutigen Vision von „Creative Health“ nach und hebt evidenzbasierte Praktiken sowie die Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Kultur- und dem Gesundheitssektor hervor. Der Vortrag schließt mit europäischen Initiativen und Partnerschaften, die zeigen, wie Kreativität Wohlbefinden, Inklusion und systemischen Wandel in Gesellschaften fördern kann.

Edith Wolf Perez, M.A. With a background in dance and cultural journalism, Edith Wolf Perez has been deeply engaged for many years with the topic of art and culture in the context of health and well-being. She is co-initiator of Arts for Health Austria, editor of the book “Arts and Health – Austria in an International Context,” and co-chair of the OMC (Open Method of Coordination) group of the European Commission on “Culture and Health.”
Mit einem Hintergrund in Tanz und Kulturjournalismus setzt sich Edith Wolf Perez seit vielen Jahren intensiv mit dem Thema Kunst und Kultur im Kontext von Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden auseinander. Sie ist Mit-Initiatorin von Arts For Health Austria, Herausgeberin des Buches „Arts and Health – Österreich im internationalen Kontext“ und Co-Chair der OMC (Open Method of Coordination)-Gruppe der EU-Kommission „Culture and Health“.
